On March 20, Shanghai Mobile and Huawei completed the construction of China's first smart parking lot network in the Pudong New Area's Taikoo Li.

Using multiple digital indoor base stations, Huawei provides 5.5G network coverage for an underground space of over 70,000 square meters, supporting autonomous vehicle retrieval and indoor positioning. This technology can save consumers more than 30 minutes of parking and retrieval time.

The valet parking application enables independent parking and retrieval with just one click. During the parking process, the vehicle owner only needs to monitor a live video feed to ensure vehicle safety, eliminating the need for personal navigation and parking search. s_00faa6d03f204d009669a5c47dec5f57.jpg

Vehicle Monitoring and Valet Parking in the 5.5G Era

Vehicle Monitoring

  • Once parked, Sentry Mode activates, alerting owners of any suspicious activity such as vehicle scrapes or broken windows.
  • Real-time video footage from all four cameras can be accessed remotely.

Valet Parking

  • The 5.5G parking lot offers over 500Mbps upload capacity, enabling valet parking for hundreds of vehicles simultaneously.

Precise Positioning

  • 5.5G base stations utilize software upgrades for meter-level precision, eliminating the hassle of searching for parking spaces and vehicles in public lots. s_5c25f418461a406a856ded45a80b6d84.jpg
